COC Should it Upgrade To Th9

　　Maxing out TH8 is never a smart idea, never. You can do it if you want to feel good, to be called a maxer (whatever that means), or just go ahead and rush. ITs simply better for loot and DE. Heres a little post on why TH8 is a waste, OP.

　　As a maxed TH7 coming to TH8, walls alone are 126 million gold while all you're important elixir upgrades are about 20 million elixir in total. We are talking research, a dark barrack to level 4 and the new Dark Elixir drill. As a th8, we do not get to upgrade our camps and I did not consider the dragon upgrade because it becomes useless after th8 and the same thing applies to pekka.

　　Keep in mind only walls are 126 million gold vs the required 24million ( 28 if you do both barracks ) elixir. I'm not even going to calculate the gold required for defenses and clan castle because you can already see there is a huge imbalance in the gold/elixir required to max th8.

　　Before the next part, I have to clarify I only barch because the ROI ( Return on investment ) is the most efficient so far when you consider cook times vs elixir cost and ROI on gold/elixir vs elixir spent. Now, lets say you are fairly active and raid 10 times a day and you hit dead bases at 250,000 gold elixir each. Thats 2.5 million gold/elixir a day. You can do 5 level 8 walls, but if your lab is busy with say barbarians to level 5 who take 5 days and your DE drill is upgrading or maxed and so is your dark barrack, where does the elixir go ? No where, it sits there. Three days later of this same process and you have 15 walls at level 8 and are sitting at about 6.5 million elixir. ( some of the Elixir dissapears barching ). What will happen is you begin to overflow on elixir and it goes to waste. Once your barbarians free up and you start another upgrade, you will overflow in a day or two again.

　　This is when you become a beloved ATM to TH9s and fellow TH8s. If you insist on maxing TH8 the walls alone will make you lose a lot of elixir because there is nothing you can spend it on and this is why I believe rushing to be better. At TH9, you can put that elixir into walls and protect your elixir from being raided and doing level 9 walls. Not only that, but you can start working on your queen earlier and do your defenses in the meantime. You also have camps to upgrade at TH9 and 6 levels of Dark Elixir drills. This puts your elixir to much better use.

　　Heroes are the hardest grind of the game for some because DE can be a little hard to farm if you don't know the most efficient ways to do it. Another benefit of going to TH9 early is that DE is a lot easier to get due to how multiplayer matchmaking works. A dead TH9 with maxed DE drills provides 2700 ( thats without considering whats inside the DE storage ). As a TH9 you are more likely to find a dead TH9 than a TH8 and this your DE per raid can be a lot higher. I know this is not elixir related but, if you insist on maxing TH8 your golems, hogs, minions and valks require a lot of DE with prolongs even more the elixir wasted because you cant,as mentioned above, spend it on walls and DE farming at TH8 is extremely inneficient. I'm not saying it can't be done, but why handicap yourself ?
